MEPs strike another blow for lower roaming costs
Mobile network operators face yet another crackdown on high prices after an agreement between the European Parliament and the Council of Ministers. The latest package of measures, known as Roaming III, progressively cuts the cost of roaming data downloads and imposes new caps on the cost of making phone calls and sending text messages abroad. EPP TV spoke to Angelika Niebler, a German MEP who serves as the Parliament's rapporteur on this dossier, to find out more about the rationale behind the decision.
