European Parliament Plenary Session: Protests over Schengen - Long-term EU Budget - Economic Governance

During the June plenary session in Strasbourg Members of the European Parliament condemn the Council of Ministers for its decision to renationalise Schengen and its failure to even consult the European Parliament as co-legislator. The EPP Group push for more flexibility in the next EU budget and the need to reduce burdens on national finances. The Two-Pack rules on Economic Governance are approved, and Cross-border volunteering is promoted as a means of future employment. Available material includes an edited package.
